Treating Damp & Mould.... Advice from Craig Phillips
ReplyDeleteThere's no such thing as rising damp in a modern house and it has nothing
ReplyDeleteto do with the DPC. A whole industry has been established on a myth!! Water
only ever goes down; it's why we have lakes. I can't remember the last time
I saw a river flowing up!!! There is capilliary action, but the degree it
affects modern buildings is very low indeed. For any significant issues the
bricks need to be very soft, the mortar very rich in lime and have little
or no heating in the building, It isn't an issue!
great information was very helpful and informative great video thanks

Craig makes reference to the BWPDA - British Wood Preserving and Damp
ReplyDeleteAssociation - when looking for contractors to solve damp issues. This has
now changed to the PCA - The Property Care Association
