  1. I'd think "check the thermostat" would be one of the first steps, before
you pull the fridge out and start unscrewing the back panel.

Good video. Most refrigerators have the cooling fins buried where they
collect dust and recycle heat right back into the unit. I Bought a
Sunfrost. I live offgrid and it was the best I could find for efficiency.
It has Its cooling fins on top where the heat easily escapes.

  3. I tried to defrost for 24 hrs.and I also cleaned the coils in back of the
refrigerator. Sll the ice had melted from the coils located in the freezer
but my refrigerator is still warm. The freezer is working fine. What next.
I have a LG french door frig/freezer (on the bottom)

Good info.something else to think about. Absorption refrigeration has been
around for 150 years and it is very economical

Thank you! I was going to buy a new one. I watched this video, then i went
and cleaned the dust out the back and turned that little dial with a flat
head screwdriver and my fridge can right on. Thanks again!

  6. Thanks bro, sorry for the delay on your answer. It was some relay switch
that was just replaced that starts the compressor. $90. Thank God we didn't
have to buy a new one!..Thanks again...

@Danny77uk This was considered a "normal" sized fridge in this country up
until recently, when double-door mammoth-sized models started gaining
popularity. This isn't the smallest household fridge available, there are
two smaller sizes you can get. Yes, the word "fridge" is very common
here... what the heck did you think we called them?

Hi. Is there a way to determine if it's either a START RELAY problem or a
Condensor Problem? My fridge had a burning smell one evening... the next
day the burning smell wnet away, but it didn't get cold at that point. ide
by side unit, by KitchenAid. Even the frezer stopped getting cold. I was
first thinking it's the compressor, but now after seeing your video, I
don't know if it's the Start Relay unit. How do I know for sure before
    buying parts? Thanks.

  27. Nice tip, i'm going to try that next time. We are to used to just throwing
things away these days without even trying to repair.

  28. Thanks for the video.....I bought the same frig from lowes and in 5 years
and 1 month it developed the exact same problem as yours. Unfortuneately, I
let it go to long. I finally replaced the start/run relay but the
compressor would just trip out (overlaod).....I bought a new one but, this
time I'm going to replace the compressor myself and keep it for a spare. I
think it shouldn't be too hard as I've done it several times on
    cars......wish me well:)
