  1. Sorry folks, can't seem to reply directly to you. Google+ :( But
Dave M is right. For the momentary "oomph" needed to open a problem camera,
a fresh set of alkalines would be best due to the higher voltage momentary
power that they can provide. But for every day use, once the camera's
repaired, I recommend rechargeables as they last up to 5 times longer than
    alkalines. And they're rechargeable!. .

  2. Cannot thank you enough for taking the time to complete your video. Nikon
Coolpix showed lens error and lens stuck in extended position. Fix
#4 worked for me. Thanks again.

cannon it is I believe this one

i went to your blog but I am unsure of how to contact you. I am desperate
to get it fixed and it is underwarranty but I would have to ship it in ECT
and Christmas is coming and it is my daughters first. This camera does not
show me anything when I try to turn it on it just says lens error and then
turns back off. If you could help me please email me at Joyfullem@yahoo.comor let me know how to contact you please! I would appreciate it greatly,
    Thank you!!!!!!!

  5. You mention putting fresh batteries in to give the lens motor more power.
I recommend using fresh alkaline (non-rechargeable) batteries because they
provide 1.5 volts each vs the 1.2 or so that most rechargeable batteries
provide. In that camera that's 3.0 volts compared to 2.4!

  13. I do a lot of KAP also /watch?v=4NY489_HsVw But I recommend using cheap HD
micro cams for this purpose as kites crash as you've discovered. I use a
cheap $23 Y3000 camera that I purchased from eB.

  14. Fantastic. I lifted my camera underneath a kite, in a so-called KAP-rig.
After a collission with another kite, my Powershot A560 dropped on the
field, leaving the zoom-lens bent. After viewing your video and reading
    your blogspot I carefully managed to re-allign the zoom-lens. I'm a happy
    man. Thanks.

  18. i just watched this video i have a stuck cannon lens and it's also blurry
the pulling of the lens helped me from your video but what fixed the issue
is me taking the batteries out holding the camera facing the floor and
shaking it really hard now it works !!!!
