  1. Hi, trying to figure out what type and where to buy a power supply to power
up my HDD for data recovery. Any idea what the power connector type should
be on a Western Digital WD10EACS external HDD. its appears to be oblong
    with 8 pins? Thanks

  3. Reelflowtv ~ I searched Amazon.. do you think the Vantec CB-ISATAU2
    SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter Supports 2.5-Inch, 3.5-Inch, 5.25-Inch Hard
Disk Drives (Black) would work to pull data off my hard drive?

  4. Hi, thanks so much--I will try this and hopefully will save me a few
hundred bucks to get my data back. I'd just like to clarify from your
description: for those from US, you list three different products, which
apparently all do the same thing. Are you just presenting a variety of
products to choose from, or would there be a case where one might need any
combination of them? Are you from the US? Could I order the same product
you have from the UK and have it work fine here in the US? Thanks!

I have a WB 1000 gigs external hard drive that will not read. It's funny
because it shows the amount of gigs used but will not load my info. I tried
to take it to Best Buy to retrieve everything into that external hard drive
into another new hard drive I bought and they were charging me $500!!!! I
have so much pics, memories of my family and my kids when they were small.
Can you please give me the link to where you got the universal driver
adapter? I really don't want to pay $500!

  22. So i have all my files in my hard drive then i want to add files from my
macbook to the hard drive. When i plugged in the hard drive it asked if im
gonna use the hard drive as a back up for the macbook? then it says it
would delete first everything in my hard drive. i clicked OK because i
thought the files would reappear after the said process. but NO all my
files before the back up process were all deleted. i keep DEEP SCANNING it
using Disk drill but i couldnt see my files. HEEEELPP! :(((

  28. my hard drive is starting to click. :-(. Gonna have to get a new one. No
need for data recovery. I haven't got any porn or music I can't
re-download. haha. Any good ideas on how to totally destroy it after it
completely fucks up? I was thinking making a tiny ANFO bomb to blow it up,
but then I decided I'd probably go to jail for that. Any ideas?

  30. ec3000, if you can still get the same message of "cant read data" because
of a possible damage to your HD C, try to see if you can boot up your pc in
safe mode. Once you are in safe mode, try to see if your pc recognizes your
HD C? If it does, shut down your pc and remove your HD C. Make a label for
it as HD D so you know it is the old one ...

when the laptop boots up wait for a few secs and push and hold down the
power button and let it turn off. Then power it on and it should ask you "Do
you want to delete hibernation files?" say yes and it should boot up!

Thank you very much Scott Multon for having the courtsey in posting this
very helpful informational video. I am going to watch all yours and hope to
God I can recover my data as I too am one of the hundreds of thousands of
foolish consumers out here who have been suckered by SeaGate and the other
manufacturers of these cheap pieces of equipment. so you are 100% correct
you either pay literally thousands of dollars or you back up a back up of
the back up you just backed up. What a racket huh?

  44. I believe you can set up a working harddisk as primary and your original
"broken" one as secondary.... boot it off and it recovers by itself by
sharing the files from the *working* harddrive....thats what I did and it
    worked:)
